Attendance Allowance is a non-means-tested benefit for people aged over 65 who have care needs.

It is a 28-page-long form that can be a bit overwhelming and time-consuming.

Our referral partner will help you complete, photocopy, and send off the completed application. All payments are backdated to the day we order the Attendance Allowance Claim Pack.

Alternatively, you can download a Claim Form to complete yourself.  Go to: https://www.gov.uk/attendance-allowance.

Blue Badge Claim: We can help you complete and submit an application for a Blue Badge to allow you to park in Disabled Parking Bays, etc.

Alternatively, you can download a form to complete yourself from your local authority.

What is Attendance Allowance? Attendance Allowance is a non-means-tested benefit for adults of state pension age who have a disability or care needs.

Will my finances be assessed in order to receive this benefit? No, Attendance Allowance is not means-tested, even millionaires can apply!  It is also a tax-free benefit, meaning you don’t pay any tax on it.

I have a bit of arthritis, will I be eligible? The answer is quite possibly: if you are struggling to get up the stairs, need to take your time dressing or washing, or are walking with a stick, you could well be eligible.

Do I need to have a carer? No, you could live on your own with no help at all and still be eligible for Attendance Allowance.

How much will I get? If awarded, you will receive either the low level of £72.65 or the high level of £108.55 per week. These rates will increase in April 2025.

Is it easy to apply for? The form is 30 pages long; many consider it complex and overwhelming.

Will payment be backdated? If we help you apply or you request the application form by telephone, it will be backdated to the date of the call. If you apply by downloading the application form, printing it off and sending it to the DWP, it will be backdated to the date the DWP receives the completed form. When we help people apply, most backdated payments are above £600.

How do I know if I might be eligible? Please chat with us; it’s free and has no obligation.  We ask a few questions about how you or your loved one is managing on a daily basis, and we will be able to let you know if you are likely to be eligible to apply for Attendance allowance.

What are your fees? The cost of support to apply for attendance allowance is £210, which is less than 2 weeks' high-level attendance allowance or 3 weeks' low-level attendance allowance.
